Specimen Requirements

Liver Tissue	10% prefilled formalin container available from MRD.			Staining Protocol: Light microscopy - H&E, PAS, PAS/diastase, trichrome, reticulum, & iron. Deliver to Surgical Pathology within 24 hours. For "Rush" biopsies, deliver immediately, select the "RUSH" option for the priority level in EPIC to alert the Surgical Pathology staff and/or liver pathologists of the priority.	Room Temperature or Refrigerator Temperature (2-8 degrees C)
