Clinical Utility: Beta 2 GPI assay is for the semi quantitative detection of Beta 2 GPI IgG, IgM and IgA antibodies in serum. The presence of Beta 2 GPI antibodies can be used in conjunction with clinical findings and other lab tests to aid in the risk of thrombosis in individuals with SLE or lupus-like disorders.
Unacceptable Conditions: Grossly hemolyzed or lipemic serum, microbially contaminated, heat-treated specimens or specimens containing visible particulate matter.
